Why I’m Taking a Break…

(First off, I’m sorry for sounding like a melodramatic YouTuber…)

When I started this blog about a year and a half ago, I posted once a week. After a little bit, it changed to every other week. And now, it’s been a month since I posted. (But let’s be real: we’re in a time warp right now anyway.)

Over my time here, I’ve posted a mix of stories from my creative journey, typical book blog stuff, and updates on trying to publish my novels.

If you’ve kept up with me until now, you know that I kind of gave up querying my first novel—the one that started this entire blog in the first place. I’ve been working on getting my second ready to query, hoping that eventually the first will find the light of day as well.

In all reality, there aren’t really any updates to share with you… and there won’t be for a while. I still have a long way to go to get my second manuscript ready. I also haven’t felt super inspired recently, as I’ve posted pretty much everything I wanted to on this blog. (Which I suppose is a good thing!) 😉

So, that being said, I’ll be taking a break from here for a bit. Don’t worry—I’ll still be updating you guys on Instagram, as well as on my podcast!

I appreciate your support more than anything. Thank you for following me on my journey and keeping me positive through it all. See you soon. ❤

Breaks are nice. We all need them. Especially when it comes to creative exploits. I hope that you get your books queried and that your first book finds the light of day. I hope that you enjoy your break and that when you come back to your blog, that you are reinvigorated in your want to write on it. Take care! 🙂
